Today is Hans Christian Anderson’s birthday (1805), and since 1967, Children’s Book Day. Let’s celebrate wonderful books and in particular, the ones we find in childhood and never let go. Today’s quipple features words from Lemony Snicket (Daniel Handler), who is one of today’s great children’s book authors.

Please share in the comments – what were the special books of your childhood?
